Not military, but overseas CIVILIAN ballots are not secure
With a “disinformation” article headline, the Washington Post announced its coverage of voter verification deficiencies within the federal Uniformed and Overseas Civilian Absentee Voting (UOCAVA) system with the Big Fat Lie that election integrity advocates are challenging military ballots. No, no we are not.
We are, however, grateful to the WaPo for providing EIN Founder Cleta Mitchell with the platform to set the record straight from under the cloak of media disinformation. There is no provision under current law for voter verification for civilians using overseas ballots – no ID, no passport number, no verified address. No nothin’.
As Ms. Mitchell pointed out, the majority of unverified civilian voters in 2020 outpaced our wonderful military voters with 63% of overseas vote totals.
Thank you, Washington Post, for allowing Ms. Mitchell to inform your readers/voters about the true threat to their ballots posed by this insecure system of untrackable “who knows where from” ballots, and why Pennsylvania and other states are taking steps to protect their verified voters.
And … we love you, U.S. military and family members! Please vote!
